This breed is characterized by a strong body build and wrinkled face. The ears are placed at the sides of the huge and broad head, the eyes are large and round, and the chest is broad and deep. Unlike English Bulldogs, their fathers, French Bulldogs do not drool.

French Bulldogs measure 12 inches (30 cm) high at the withers. There are two weight categories for French Bulldogs: 19-22 pounds (9-10 kg) and 22-28 pounds (10-13 kg). Weight over 28 pounds is a disqualifying fault; life expectancy is 10-12 years. When you are after puppies for sale, don't trust a picture, but see the puppy yourself.
